DANU ANIMA

My name is Camille. I am a self-taught artist from Switzerland.

When I was a child, I used to draw a lot, and I was certain I wanted to become an artist. But in my young adult life, after graduating from high school, I closed all the doors to creativity. That marked the beginning of quite a dark phase, where I explored all kinds of ways to numb and distance myself from my sensitivity —  I can say at least, I was pretty imaginative in that!

It wasn’t until I was 25, four years ago, that I reconnected with it and reopened a door that had been closed for a long time. As I began to reawaken parts of my soul that had fallen asleep, creativity slowly returned to my life, lighting up the dark corners of my consciousness. As creativity reemerged, a lot of things started rising to the surface — and that’s when the real work began.
From that moment on, my connection to creativity grew stronger and deeper, eventually guiding me out of university to explore life more freely and trust the unfolding of the journey.

Creativity is my guide, my inner compass — a muse who reminds me to return to the heart and to presence. Creativity is the doorway to the grace of this existence.
I am passionately inspired by Mother Earth — her shades, colors, places and textures . And I believe creativity comes from a deep connection with the divine, with self and with the earth.

I realize I am still at the very beginning of this journey. My art is evolving—so is my relationship to it: my why, my how. Creativity is a constant call to transformation and transmutation.
And within that change lies a teaching: a call to humble presence, to patience, and to bringing the sacred into everyday life.

And I feel so blessed to be able to experience all of this.
